John Goodson

John Samuel Goodson, Sr., 75, of Little Rock, passed away on June 9, 2009. Born December 19, 1933 in Roland, Arkansas to Cab Goodson and Octalee Goodson, he was a United States Air Force veteran and owner of Goodson Hauling Company.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Goodson and a son, John Samuel Goodson, Jr.; his parents; brothers, Ward Goodson, Dick Goodson and Joe Goodson and sister, Mildred Morris.
John is survived by his wife, Rose Mary Goodson; children, Deborah and Mark Ulery of Indiana, Annette and James Miller of Little Rock, Greg and Lori Goodson of Texas, Carol Goodson of Little Rock, Kerry Sue Goodson of Texas, Matt Goodson and fiancee, Yvette Etteldorf and Krissy and Daniel Smith, all of Little Rock. Also surviving are his brothers, Clay and Florence Goodson of Houston, Arkansas, Jack and Gladys Goodson of Roland and Truman and Sandra Goodson of Little Rock; his sisters, Ruth France and Carolyn Goodson, both of Roland; ten grandchildren, Jason Goodson, James Miller, Shane Goodson, Jacob Goodson, John Goodson III, Brandt Goodson, Austin Goodson, Reina Stoner, Rachel Alexander and Paul LaSalle; and six great-grandchildren, Alexa Goodson, Noah Goodson, Nicholas Miller, Kayla Miller, Aleshia Goodson and Trey Goodson.
Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, June 11 with the family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. Services will be Friday June 12 at 1:00 p.m. at Crystal Hill Baptist Church, 18823 Crystal Valley Rd., Little Rock, officiated by Rev. Larry Ballard. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
