John Francis
John D. Francis, 84, of Alpine died Sunday May 20, 2007 at his home. He was born April 19, 1923 in Clark County, Arkansas to Witt and Mamie Thompson Francis. He was a member of Alpine Missionary Baptist Church and was a logger.
Survivors include his wife, Joye Turner Francis; a son, Johnny Francis of Alpine; three daughters, Jeannie Beene of Conway, Kay Carlson of St. Genevieve, MO, and Gail Francis of Arkadelphia; three brothers, Clifton Francis of Hot Springs, Jimmy Francis and Hugh Fendley, both of Arkadelphia; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel, Arkadelphia with Rev. Sonny Tolleson officiating.
Burial will be in Alpine Cemetery, with Pallbearers being Dale Richardson, Ted Teague, Brent Carlson, Dennis Carlson, Jason Smith and J.D. Buck.
Memorials may be made to the Alpine Cemetery Building Fund, c/o Jane Bean, 308 W. Thompson, Amity, AR 71921.
