In the words of my dad, "don't make it complicated Leslie." So lets begin...

John W. Diebler, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of resilience and love. A city man turned mountain man, John dedicated his life to living off the grid, embracing nature, and cherishing the simple joys- especially his love for pies, pizza (known to the yankee's as pie), his unwavering support for the Buffalo Bills and his country which he proud served in the USAF.

John was a stubborn yet ambitious soul with a heart as vast as the mountain he called home. He found immense joy in caring for his family., friends (especially his grandsons) and he was guided by faith and often asked God for strength- especially during Bills games.

John was proud of his mountain home but he was also a proud and passionate Buffalo Bills fan. Known for their unwavering spirit and enthusiasm, Bills mafia celebrated every touchdown and endured every heartbreak with an indomitable spirit. They cherished the thrill of the game, wearing their team colors with pride and rallied fellow fans with infectious energy. John never gave us hope that #17 would bring home the ring. Even in Heaven I know he still has hope.

Despite his body facing the challenges of stage 4 cancer, he fought valiantly for 2.5 years beyond his prognosis, demonstrating incredible strength and determination. John's spirit and tenacity will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, ambition, and the enduring belief that dreams can be pursued against all odds. In his memory, let us celebrate the love he shared, the mountain he cherished, and the laughter that filled his life.

Until we meet again daddy... Go Bills!
