John Henry Coffey, 86, of Searcy, Arkansas, was born September 9, 1922, in White County, to Hugh C. and Hassie Elenburg Coffey. He died Friday, December 19, 2008 at White County Medical Center. He was an Elder of Pleasant Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a member for over sixty years. He was a retired dairy farmer and spent his entire time here on the same farm. His life was full of family whom he loved dearly, friends and community.
John is survived by his beloved wife and life-partner of sixty-six years, Adalene "Susie" Coffey of Floyd (White County); one daughter, Phyllis Daniel of Little Rock; one granddaughter, Dena Daniel and husband Charley of Frisco, Texas; three great-granddaughters, Kylie, Kelsey and Kendall; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Clarice (Marvin) Slaten, Audrey (Raymond) Bradberry, Eula (Alphus) Moore; two brothers, Dewey (Dee) Coffey and Romie (Connie) Coffey.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2008, at Pleasant Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
