John Coats, 58, of North Little Rock passed away Monday, October 15, 2007. He was a loving father, a U. S. Army veteran of Vietnam and a member of the North Little Rock VFW.
He is survived by two sons, Carl Coats, of Fort Polk, Louisiana and Dylan Coats, of Fayetteville; daughter, Alexis Coats, of Fayetteville; fianc, Judy Rio; five brothers, Robert, William and Frank Coats, of Florida, James Coats, of Stafford, Virginia and Hank Coats, of California; grandchildren, Ashley Coats, Cavan and Cayden Coats and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Gideon and Caroline Jarvis Coats, brother, Tommy Coats and sister, Catherine Ann Henderson.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 P.M., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
