John Coats
John Coats, 58, of North Little Rock passed away Monday, October 15, 2007. He was a loving father, a U. S. Army veteran of Vietnam and a member of the North Little Rock VFW.
He is survived by two sons, Carl Coats, of Fort Polk, Louisiana and Dylan Coats, of Fayetteville; daughter, Alexis Coats, of Fayetteville; fianc, Judy Rio; five brothers, Robert, William and Frank Coats, of Florida, James Coats, of Stafford, Virginia and Hank Coats, of California; grandchildren, Ashley Coats, Cavan and Cayden Coats and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Gideon and Caroline Jarvis Coats, brother, Tommy Coats and sister, Catherine Ann Henderson.
Memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors, 1719 N. 60th Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68104.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 P.M., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
