John "Buddy" Clark of Hensley, passed away Friday in Maumelle. He was born March 6, 1930 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Orvill H. Clark and Dora Ethel Clark. He was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church. Buddy was a retired truck driver and employee of J.B. Hunt Trucking and Continental Express Inc. He took great pride in being a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Redfield City Council, Redfield Fire Department and Redfield Water Works. He held many positions during his lifetime, a butcher, mechanic, mounted policeman as well as a farmer. Buddy touched the lives of all who knew him during his journey here and he made many friends. He will be greatly missed and leaves behind a host of family members to cherish his memories.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Bobbie Frances Clark and sister, Betty Ann Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Clark, daughters, Vickie Davis and husband, Dale, Billie Neal and husband, Jerry, Kathy Cash and husband, Eddie. Buddy has four step children, Cheryl Wilson, Robert Knight, Krista Larson, and Katrina Wolfe. He leaves a brother, Billy Clark and wife, Penny, one sister, Linda Locke and husband, Brad, 10 grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and numerous good friends.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2010 at Freedom Baptist Church, North Little Rock with Rev. John Mix and Rev. Albert Michael officiating.
Interment will be in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock with Military Honors.
Arrangements are under the direction of Peaceful Haven Funeral Home, Benton, Arkansas.
