John Chunn, Jr.

John Fred Chunn, Jr., 45, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away February 11, 2022. He was born April 23, 1976 in Benton, Arkansas to John Fred Chunn, Sr. and Betty Carol Chunn.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Fred Chunn, Sr. John is survived by girlfriend, Jimmie Smith, of Jacksonville, Arkansas; his children, John Chunn, III and Madison Chunn, both of Sherwood, Arkansas; mother, Betty Carol Chunn of Haskell, Arkansas; brothers, Bobby McAllister (Deedee) of Benton, Arkansas and Danny Chunn of Dallas, Texas; sister, Sonya Buffington of Alexander, Arkansas; nieces and nephews, Kierstin, Kolton, Jackie, Abigail, Taylor, Bailey, and Kenzie.

John was a recreational disc golf player and an eloquent poet. He enjoyed learning about Ancient Greece. He was a hard worker and spent a lot of time with his family dog, Hands.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107) with a funeral service following at 12:00 PM.
