John Edward Braden, Sr., age 90, of North Little Rock, died Saturday, March 21, 2009. Mr. Braden was born February 17, 1919 in Olmstead, Pulaski County, Arkansas. On June 21, 1942, he married Mildred L Hardin. They were married 63 years. Mr. Braden was a WW II Veteran. In his lifetime he was employed by Bale Chevrolet, Pulaski County Road & Bridge Dept and Pulaski County Sheriff?s Dept. He was also a member of Sylvan Hills Community Church.
Mr. Braden is survived by daughters Jennette Brown of Woodland Park, Colorado; Maryfrances Travis and husband Michael Travis of Medford, Oregon; sister Ellen Holmes, brother Roy Braden and wife Lois Braden all of Little Rock. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a niece and nephew. He is predeceased by his wife Mildred L Braden and son John E Braden, Jr.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Bethel Cemetery. Family visitation will be held Monday, March 23, 2009 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 501-758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
