John A.

John A. May of Little Rock, died peacefully Wednesday, September 14, 2006. He was born on January 21, 1935 in Delight, Arkansas to Fred and Lena Mae May. He retired after 21 years of dedicated service with Affliated Foods and attended The Church at Rock Creek.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Joe May, of North Little Rock and a special son, Jim Adams, of Little Rock. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Futrell May; his children, John M. May and wife, Anna, of Sherwood, Tim May and wife, Christie, of Germantown, Tennessee and Jeff May, of Little Rock; seven grandchildren, Angie Wilson, of Hope, Adam May, of Fayetteville, Caroline Nicholas, Elizabeth May, of Germantown, Tennessee and Christian and Tanner May, of Bryant; brother, David May, of The Village, Florida and one dear sister-in-law, Margie May, of North Little Rock, along with many nieces and nephews.
He loved Shirley and with John his family always came first. He loved his backyard cookouts with his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids, and his trips to Nascar Races and the lake with all his buddies.
The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to Arkansas Children?s Hospital, P.O. Box 2222, Little Rock, Arkansas 72203.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 18, 2006 at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 P.M., Sunday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.northlittlerockfuneralhome.com.
