Joe A. Taylor, 93, of North Little Rock passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, March 20, 2010. He worked for the F.B.I. from 1941-1943, joined the Navy and was a Shore Patrolman during World War II. He was hired by the Democrat Printing and Lithographing Company where he worked from 1946-1978, during that same time he was also a well known local wedding photographer from 1953-1986. He was an active and faithful member of Gardner Memorial United Methodist Church since 1934, where he served on the food pantry for many years and a faithful member of the Wesley Sunday school Class.
He is survived by his son, Joe D. Taylor, of North Little Rock; two daughters, Donna Taylor Baggett and husband, Tim, of Dallas, Texas and Mary Taylor Andrews and husband, David, of North Little Rock; five grandchildren, Sadie, Christy, Nicholas, Carrie and Devin; two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Sakarie; and one sister, Caroline Emrich. He was preceded in death by his wife, of 64 years, Prudie K. Wright Taylor.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at Gardner Memorial United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
