Joe Lloyd Jones

Joe Lloyd Jones, 77, of Benton, Arkansas passed away October 8, 2022.  He was born September 23, 1945, in Augusta, Arkansas to the late Luther and Annie (Taylor) Jones. 

Joe retired from Reynolds after over twenty-five years of service.  He was a member of Spring Creek Missionary Baptist Church.  Joe had a zeal for life and became a new man after he rededicated his life to Christ in 2006.  Joe was a wonderful father and provider for his family and others.  He was a dedicated volunteer at CJCOHN (Churches Joint Council On Human Needs) from 2006-2019.  Joe’s passion to serve God and others was demonstrated by his acts of service and generosity to others.

Preceding Joe in death are his parents, Luther and Annie Jones; and siblings:  Jim Jones, Danny Jones, Edward Jones, Barbara Crowson, and Bill Jones. 

Joe leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Cayce Jones of Benton, Arkansas; daughter, Jennifer Lingo and husband Michael of Lonsdale, Arkansas; grandchildren:  Kaitlyn Jarrett, Karyssa Jackson, Cody Jackson, and Anna Jones; six great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Jones of Little Rock, Arkansas; brother, Paul Jones of Mississippi; dear friend, LaVenia Jones; and many family members and friends who love Joe and will miss him always.

Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, October 12, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street in Benton, Arkansas.  Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 13, at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas. 

Memorials may be made to Spring Creek Missionary Baptist Church Youth Department, 19200 I-30, Benton, Arkansas 72019.
