Joe Earl Highland, age 81, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away December 23, 2016.
He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Joe's family was number one and his love for them never wavered. He retired from Lantrip Construction in North Little Rock in 2001. He was a hard worker and enjoyed his time outdoors, especially working in his yard. He had the privilege of receiving the honor of "Yard of Month" on multiple occasions. Joe was blessed with the gift of wood working and creating. His family will always have a little bit of him in the treasures he created and shared with them.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret; two daughters, Karen Highland and Sharen Wisely and her husband, Marvin; one grandson, Jared Wisely; one brother, Lynn Highland; several nieces, nephews, many friends, and his beloved dachshunds, Maggie and Dudley .
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, William Highland and Virgie Tubbs; three sisters and two brothers.
Memorials may be made to The Pulaski County Humane Society, 14600 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, AR 72210.
