Joe Howard Burnett, age 78 of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, June 2nd, 2016 at Baptist Medical Center of Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on February 22nd, 1938 in Solgohachia, Arkansas; he was the son of John Burnett and Letha Boyle Burnett.

Joe was a manager at DHS in Little Rock for thirty-five years and served twenty-plus years in the National Guard and Army Reserves. He was a member of Arkansas Gun and Cartridge Collectors Club; NRA, and concealed carry firearms instructor and enjoyed being a Firearms enthusiast and doting on his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include wife of thirty-three years, Janice Burnett; Sons Keith Burnett of Vilonia, Scott Pinney and wife Danielle of North Little Rock, Ted Pinney and wife Christie of Benton; Grandchildren Anna, Sam, Tyler, and Tatum. Brothers Robert "Bob" Burnett and wife Mary; Larry Burnett and wife Pat, all of Russellville, AR

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 9th, 2016 at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood, Arkansas.

Visitation will be at 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 9th, 2016 at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood, Arkansas.
