Joe Burleson

Joe Allen Burleson Sr., 75, died November 6, 2013 at his home in Dodge City. He was born on September 7, 1938 at Little Rock, Arkansas the son of Claude Edward and Essie (Sallis) Burleson.

He married Jo Ann Weaver on February 21, 1958 in Indianola, Mississippi, she survives. Mr. Burleson worked as a sheet metal tech for Ray Omo Inc. for thirty five years before retiring in 2006. In his spare time he enjoyed all sports and especially loved Friday night patio time with his family.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Dodge City.

He is survived by his wife JoAnn Burleson of the home,three daughters Kathy Hall and husband Artie of Ardmore, Oklahoma; Lori Sprenkle and husband David of Dodge City, Kansas; Tina Culver and husband Dave of Beaumont, Texas; two sons Joe Burleson Jr. of Wichita, Kansas; Ricky Burleson and wife Cathy of Picayune, Mississippi; two sisters Louise Snead of Hensley, Arkansas; Lena Mae Scott of Hensley, Arkansas and one brother David Burleson of California. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

Graveside Service on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Brownsville Cemetery in Lonoke, Arkansas. Visitation will be at North Little Rock Funeral Home on Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
