Joe Brashers

Joe N. Brashers went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 7, 2014. He was born November 11, 1932 in the Cave City area of Sharp County to the late James and Daisey Tompkins Brashers. He was also preceded in death by his son, Duane Brashers; four brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 plus years, Lois C. Brashers; brother, Gene Brashers and a host of other relatives and friends.
He retired from Lilly Paint Company in 1997 and worked for Harvest Foods in East End until his death. He was affectionately known as "Mr. Joe." He was an active member of East Union Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Union Baptist Church, 20422 N. Springlake Road, Hensley, Arkansas 72065 or Landmark Cemetery Association, c/o Orin Boody, 8212 Russwood Lane West, Mabelvale, Arkansas 72103.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m., at East Union Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Landmark Cemetery.
