Jodie Wayne Hull

Jodie Wayne Hull, 82, of Vilonia, AR, passed away on June 10, 2024. Born on February 13, 1942, in Memphis, TN, to Ulysses Ray Hull and Ora Mae Dickerson, Wayne led a remarkable life filled with dedication, service, and love. He worked in construction for 62 years and was a valued member of the Assembly of God Church in Vilonia, AR.

Wayne was deeply involved in his community, serving as a member of the Earle Volunteer Fire Dept, and the Maumelle Fire Department and an EMT. His first delivery as an EMT was memorable, as he recorded the newborn's weight and measurements on a pillowcase due to the lack of paper. Additionally, Wayne served as an Auxiliary Policeman, using his many connections to keep a close watch over his four daughters, ensuring they were always safe, whether they liked it or not.

Wayne and his beloved wife, Lavada, were married for 41 years and together for 42. In the early years, Wayne found joy in gardening and mowing the yard with his big tractor. As Captain of his boat, he spent countless summers on the lake with his wife and girls. Known for his adventurous spirit, Wayne loved to speed and throw his passengers off the tube, ensuring every ride was thrilling and filled with laughter.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; three sisters; and grandson, Danny Rudick.

Wayne's life was a testament to his hard work, dedication, and love for his family and community. He leaves behind his wife, Lavada; his four daughters, Judy Scoggins (Roy), Donna Davis (Fred), Lori Reed, and Leslie Walker; six grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
