Joann Wofford

Joann (Latch) Wofford, 91, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life to her heavenly home on June 11, 2022. She was born March 27, 1931. At the time of her passing, she was in the Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation facility where she had resided since March 9, 2022. Joann was a life-long resident of Arkadelphia. She retired from the Levi Straus Company in Arkadelphia in 1984. She loved to cook, quilt, and listen to country western and gospel music. Before her elder years, she always had a large vegetable garden and shared fruits and vegetables with family and friends. She had a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church since she was a young girl. Joann was loved by all who knew her. She was a joyful and happy person, who loved to laugh.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall R. Wofford Jr., her parents, Amos and Theodosia (Helms) Latch; her twin sister, Joyce (Latch) Johnson; brothers-in-law, William M. Johnson and Bobby G. Wofford; sisters-in-law, Christine (Wofford) Burns, Dorothy (Wofford) Elliott and Francis (Wofford) Buck; nephew, James Buck and niece, Brenda (Elliott) Bridges.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara (Garrett) Wofford; nieces and nephews, Beverly (Johnson) Hankins, Melanie Wofford, Misty (Wofford) Ward, Diana Lynn (Burns) Winfree, Marsha (Buck) Britton, Debbie (Elliott) Jordan and David Burns; many great nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Visitation will 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 15^th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Service will follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Frank Henson officiating. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery.
