Joann Spears

Joann Spears, age 83, of Arkadelphia, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022.

She was born on April 11, 1938, in Amity, the daughter of Floyd William Bryant and Lottie Still Bryant. She was preceded in death by three children, Johnny Spears, Pamela Kay Spears and Deborah Spears; her parents; her grandson, David Welch; and her sister, Barbara Inlow.

Joann was a very active member of the New Life Church in Arkadelphia. She loved her church and always enjoyed those good potlucks.

She is survived by three children, Carol Hitchens of Fountain Lake, Tommy Joe Spears of Arkadelphia and Lee Baker of Little Rock; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother, James Bryant of Murfreesboro; and her sister, Brenda Long of Mountain Pine.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 31, 2022, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Martin Jones officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Aron Harwood, Jeff Welch, Dalton Cishke, Zach Hitchens, Jimmy Long and Doyle Welch.
