Joan S. Pinion Polinski

Joan S. Pinion Polinski, 85, of Arkansas, passed away on February 6, 2024. Joan was born in Missouri, to Joseph and Louise Long, on March 4, 1939.

In her journey through life, Joan touched the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wayne; sisters, Sharon and Janice; and husbands, Larry Pinion and John Polinski.

Joan is survived by her daughters, Dee Houchin (David) and Debbie Copeland (David); her son Rick Pinion (Gloria); her cherished grandsons Quincy Houchin, Justin Houchin (Victoria), and Chris Houchin (Nikkie Hughes); and her treasured great-grandchildren Brayden Houchin, Emily Houchin, Sam Cepeda, and Hannah Whitaker. Her beloved fuzzy companions Lenney and Maddie were always by her side.

After dedicating over thirty years of her life to JCPenney's, Joan retired and began a new chapter. She found great joy in bowling and cherished the moments spent at tournaments with her daughter Dee and dear friends. Lunch dates with Dee, her grandkids, and her good friend Terri were always filled with love and laughter.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors and nurses who provided compassionate care for Joan at Baptist Hospital, The Springs of Chenal, and Hospice Homecare on Bowman.

In accordance with Joan's wishes, she will be cremated with no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Smith Little Rock Funeral Home.

To my dearest momma whom I had the privilege of spending so much time with after your retirement—I love you more than words can express. - Dee

We are truly blessed to have had the best momma in the world. She had endless love for her family, friends, and her beloved puppies, Maddie girl and Lenney. I miss my momma more than words can convey; she was not just my mother but also my best friend. Momma never once complained or asked for help. We are immeasurably grateful for the gift of having such a wonderful momma. I am so proud to be your daughter! - Debbie

Momma, you hold a special place in my heart. I cherish our memories together, especially our pizza and cold beer nights and the good times we shared with Dee and her family. You were not only the best momma anyone could ask for, but also an amazing friend. I love you and miss you dearly. Your son, Rick.
