Jo Ann Cargill Burks, 84, of Little Rock, passed away September 15, 2019. Born in Batesville, Arkansas to William P. and Ruth Hill Cargill, she graduated from Batesville High School in 1953 and went to work for Southwestern Bell. She was a receptionist for J. C. Penney's and at the Rose Law Firm. She was a member of Windsong Church of Christ.

Preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, she is survived by her husband, Charles A. Burks, with whom she celebrated 60 years of marriage in July; sons, Charles C. Burks (Ken Lowstetter) of Palm Springs, California and Barry C. Burks (Doris) of Little Rock; brother, Bill Cargill of Batesville; sisters, Freda Sims of North Little Rock, Clara Bufford, Betty SueWesterfield and Jerrye Blevins, all of Batesville; two grandchildren, Kristan Wells (Alan) of Little Rock and Lindsey Cook (Clint) of Otto, Arkansas; and three great-grandchildren, Hunter Wells, Connor Cook and Heston Wells..

Visitation will be Thursday, September 19 from 5-7 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Graveside services will be Friday, September 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Batesville. Memorials may be made to Windsong Church of Christ, 3 Windsong Dr., North. Little Rock, AR 72113 or to Alzheimer's Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Dr., Little Rock, AR 72205
