Jimmy Edwin Miller

Jimmy Edwin Miller, 81, of Beebe, Arkansas, formerly of Benton, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021.  He was born April 23, 1939, in Dardanelle, Arkansas.  Jim was retired from his teaching and coaching career of 40 years.  He was a long-time member of Northside Church of Christ (Benton), where he served as an elder for 27 years.  Following his move to Beebe, he became an active member of Northside Church of Christ in Beebe, Arkansas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Ollie Miller; one brother, Alwin Miller; two sisters, Kathryn Walter (Ray) and Marilyn Gray.

Mr. Miller leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Phyllis Miller of 59 years; two daughters, Tamara Porter (Ken) of Emery, Texas and Debra Smith (Tim) of Beebe, Arkansas; a sister, Jean Best (Johnny); a brother, John Miller (Anne); five grandchildren, Elizabeth Porter, Jesse Porter, Alex Porter, Garrett Smith and Shelby Smith.

The family will always remember the wonderful care Jim received from his helpers, Nicole McDonald, Icy Lumpkin, Marsha Banks and Becki Hartline. They kept him laughing in his last years

Pallbearers will be Tim Smith, Garrett Smith, Ken Porter, Jessie Porter, Shawn Best, and Johnny Best.  Honorary pallbearer is Alex Porter.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2021 at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe (404 W. DeWitt Henry Dr.) with Funeral Services 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at Northside Church of Christ in Benton (917 N.
