Jimmy D. Runyan, age 88, of Glenwood, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.

He was born on December 9, 1936, in Amity. He was the son of Harrell Issac and Estelle Adcock Runyan. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Don Runyan.

Jimmy married the love of his life, Inez Allen Runyan, on April 12, 1958. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Jimmy served his country for 20 years in the United States Navy. He was a Chief Yeoman and worked on Nuclear Submarines. After retiring, Jimmy became a "gentleman farmer" and had chicken houses. Once he retired from Chicken Houses, he farmed cows. Jimmy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Inez Runyan of Glenwood; his three children and their spouses, Bruce and Dana Runyan of Springfield, Missouri, Deanna and Dwayne Curry of Glenwood, and Terry and Jessica Runyan of Glenwood; his five grandsons, Dylan Runyan, Hayden Runyan, Jarrett Runyan, Joseph Runyan, and Trent Curry; his four great-grandchildren, Creed, Wilder, Kevin, and Avery; his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Paulette Runyan of Little Rock, Travis Runyan of Rogers, and Jane Runyan of Little Rock; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

Pallbearers will be Dylan Runyan, Hayden Runyan, Jarrett Runyan, Joseph Runyan, Trent Curry, and Steven McGrew.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Holmes, Matt Ledbetter, Tim Jester, and Jon White.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church with Bro. James Owens officiating. 

Visitation will be held prior to services on Saturday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Internment will be held at Mount Tabor Cemetery.
