Jimmy Lee "Jimbo" "Pop" Fryar, age 65, of Oden, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. He was born on July 17, 1953, in Mena, the son of Burl Lee Fryar and Betty Lou Batson Fryar. He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, James Fryar; and two sisters, Pam Gentry and Angie DeAngelas. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and sports. He worked for over thirty years at the Shoe Factory in Mount Ida. He had a love for all animals, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends, and he especially loved his grandkids. He was loved by many and will be truly missed. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Stacy and Guy Basiliere and Amber and Paul Cowart; two grandsons, Trey Basiliere and Jesse Fryar; his mother, Betty Fryar; two brothers, Alan Fryar and his wife, Beth, and Burl Fryar, Jr. and his girlfriend, Jodene; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and many friends. At the wishes of Jimmy, he will be cremated and there will be no services held at this time. Arrangements were under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Glenwood.
