Jimmy Neal Harper died on September 29, 2015. He was born in Knox City, Texas on September 20, 1935 to Jack and Addie Mae Harper, he was one of four siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Charlotte; granddaughter, Laura (Dustin) McElyea; son-in-law, Robert Thurman. Their two children, Randy Harper and Angie Thurman preceded him in death.
Jimmy served overseas in the Army and had a PhD in Sociology and was retired from the North Little Rock School District.
Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 5, 2015 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements by Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
