Jimmy Gatlin

Jimmy Gatlin, 93, of Lewisville, TX passed away surrounded by loved ones on October 19^th, 2022.

Jimmy was born on December 12^th, 1928 to Robert and Carmon Gatlin in Benton, AR. Jimmy joined the Navy in 1947. After the Navy, he went on to study Cosmetology in Little Rock.

In 1950, he met Esther Johnson, and were married in 1953. They moved from Little Rock to the Benton/Salem area in 1975 where he retired.

After retiring, Jimmy became a passionate woodworking craftsman who could be found in his workshop working pieces for family and friends. Eventually moved to Lewisville, TX where he was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Jimmy was a kind and loving husband and father and will be deeply missed. Jimmy was predeceased by his mother, Carmon; his father, Robert; and his brother, Robert. He is survived by Esther, his wife; Suda, his sister; his three children: Frank, James, Linda and his grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at Smith-Benton Funeral Home in Benton, AR on Friday, October 28^th 2022 at 10am.
