Jimmy Fink

Jimmy Fink, age 79, of Sherwood Arkansas passed in the early morning 0f October 16 , 2013 to be with his Lord. He was born on June 21, 1934 in the river bottoms at the foot of Pettit Jean Mountain. Jimmy grew up in the North Little Rock area and went to work at an early age due to the passing of his father. He worked for over 50 years in the paint and wallpaper business where he made many friends and enjoyed the people he worked with at Franklin Paint, Weeks, Sterling and Pittsburg Paint.
Living out his Christian faith was an important part of Jimmy's everyday life. He served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Lynch View Missionary Baptist Church for much of his adult life. He loved Christ and his church family.
Jimmy was a devoted family man; always putting his family above his personal ambitions. He loved his wife, Dixie, through 59 years of marriage and his family. He leaves behind his wife, Dixie; daughter Sandra O'Neal (Dale); son Jim Fink (Lisa); four grandchildren: Amanda Bearden (Josh); Jill Sanden (Alan); Lori Covert and Matthew Fink (Katie); five great grand children: Triton Covert, Carter and Gracie Sanden, Camden Bearden, and Lainey Fink and his sister Frances Heslep; as well as nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter Cindy, his parents John D. and Meda Fitch Fink, a brother J. D. Fink, three sisters: Martha Jo Freeman, Betty Freeman and Anna Sue Crowder.
Visitation will be held at North Little Rock Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2013. The funeral services will be held at Lynch View Baptist Church in North Little Rock on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 2:00 pm, with burial to follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock.
