James "Jimmy" Barrett, age 58 of Hensley, passed away Friday, October 18, 2013 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on June 23, 1955 in McGehee, Arkansas, and was the son of Ervin E. Barrett and Mary Parks-Barrett.
Jimmy was a railroad conductor for Union Pacific and a member of the United Transportation Union local 656. He was an avid gardener, a music aficionado, and always liked to share with others how proud he was of his son Brent. In recent years Jimmy spent time traveling the country with his son and friends while following his favorite bands.
He is preceded in death by his father Ervin E. Barrett.
He is survived by his son James Brent Barrett; his mother Mary F. Barrett; a brother Mike Barrett, and a host of many friends.
A Commemoration of Life Ceremony will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel at 6400 Mabelvale Pike (One block west of 65th Street & University Ave) in Little Rock, Arkansas, 72209.
