Jimmie Williams

Jimmie Parks Williams, 79, of North Little Rock lost his battle with cancer and passed away to be with his Lord on Friday, June 18. He was born January 3, 1931 in McRae, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his son, Dickie, wife, Johnnie, and sister, Mary Jo Johnson. He is survived by his son Brett and wife Jo Lynn, granddaughter Jonah, grandson Gavin, sisters Claudene and Willene, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle. Jimmie was an Air Force Korean war veteran and a retired North Little Rock Police Officer. Later he owned and operated a vending business followed by working for C&C Motors. He coached Little League baseball at Burns Park and won three straight State Championships. His players loved and cherished him. He lived life to the fullest and loved Horse Racing at Oaklawn and relaxing on Lake Hamilton. Jimmie was a unique and special man who always did things his way. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. The unexpected and premature death of Jimmie's son Dickie four years ago, and wife Johnnie two years ago left a void for him and devastated his last years of life.
