Jimmie Don Stout, 68, of Benton, Arkansas passed away September 11, 2022. He was born December 9, 1953 to the late Roy Howard and Laura Alene (Young) Stout.
Jimmie was a Christian man. He worked as an automotive mechanic and welder. Football was Jimmie’s favorite sport and he was an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan. Jimmie loved gardening and planted a garden every year. Spending time with his family was special to Jimmie and his granddaughters were his greatest source of joy. He looked forwards to annual trips to the beach at Corpus Christie with his family. Jimmie may have been a quiet man, but family states he had answers to everything.
Preceding Jimmie in death are his son, James Bradley Stout; daughter-in-law, Ashley Stout; grandson, Raymond James Stout parents; siblings: Raymond Stout and Louise Scott; and mother and father-in-law, William and Ada Luter.
Jimmie leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 42 years, Carol Stout; daughter, Molly Stout; granddaughters, Lydia Stout and Harper Grifford; siblings: Harold Stout, Polly Gifford (Terry), Alma Goodson (Pat), Doris Warren, Gerald Stout, Mike Stout, Sue Chadwick, and Mark Stout; sisters-in-law, Deborah Thompson (Britt) and Wanda Hunt (Billy); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who love Jimmie and will miss him always.
Memorials may be made in Jimmie’s honor to Victory Temple in Fort Worth or Chicago.
Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 PM, Friday, September 16, with memorial service, officiated by Cody Calhoun, following at 2:00 PM, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton.
