Jimmie F. Bullington, 80, of Higden passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2007. He worked for Colonial Bakery in production for 25 years and was Sanitation Coordinator for 16 years. He was a member of West Side Baptist Church in Greers Ferry and a member of Magnolia Lodge #60. Jim received his apprentice degree, fellow craft degree and master degree in 1968. He was a certified instructor since 1972, was a Worthy Master of Magnolia Lodge #60 in 1973, Scottish rite 32nd degree in 1969, Scottish rite 32nd degree KCCH in 2005, had dual membership with Sam Williams #89 in 1990, and was Worthy Master in 1994, 2004 and 2005. He dropped out of Magnolia Lodge #60 in 2003. He was Scottish rite man of the year in 2004, was appointed deputy district custodian in 1974, 1994-1999. He received the first Pillar of Soloman given by Sam Williams #89 in 2006.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Helen V. (Jackson) Bullington, of Higden; daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Wayne Mahan, of Bellville, Shirley and Robert Dickey, of Harrison and Carolyn and Johnny Foster, of Cabot; two sisters, Jeanette Dittilo, of Kansas City, Missouri and Dean Ferguson, of Harrison; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kay Mann; brother, Calvin Bullington; his parents and a grandson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Side Baptist Church Library fund of Greers Ferry.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday at West Side Baptist Church. Masonic services by Sam Williams Lodge #89 of Greers Ferry. Graveside services will be held 2:30 P.M., in Salem Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday at West Side Baptist Church.
