Jim Thomas, age 84, of Little Rock, formerly of Caddo Gap, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020, at his home. He was born on February 25, 1935 in Caddo Gap, the son of Leonard Webster Thomas and Ozelle Betts Thomas. On June 28, 1975, he was married to Wilma Carr Sheffield. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jim Ed Thomas; his daughter, Sharon Diana Davidson; and two sisters, Wanda Theus and Reba Baskin. Jim retired in 2008 after working for over 40 years with Pilgrims Pride in their poultry division. He always loved being in his hometown of Caddo Gap. A hard worker, he had restored old buildings and worked on landscaping and was considered a problem solver to whatever needed doing. He was a member of the Caddo Gap Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Thomas of Little Rock; his daughter, Kimberly Sue Thomas of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Desiree Alexandra Thomas, Carsten James Thomas, Noah Carr Thomas and Joshua Thomas Davidson; two sisters, Treva Chouinard of Bentonville and Sue Davis of Little Rock; and his brother-in-law, Ed Baskin of Little Rock. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 21, 2020, in the Caddo Gap Baptist Church with Bro. Michael Felkins officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Nelson Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Tony Davis, Eric Thomas, John Theus, Ron Chouinard, Jr., Rick Driggers, Lynn Epperson and Brett Gilliam. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
