Jewell Teague

Jewell Teague, age 71, of Amity, died Thursday, March 12, 2015. He was born on March 14, 1943 at Amity, the son of Albert Eligha Teague and Rosie Lee Henthorn Teague. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, George Teague, J. D. Teague and Donald Teague; and his sister, Peggy Cash. Jewell worked for 30 years for Corning Glass Works. His work took him around the world setting up plants for manufacturing television tubes. After returning to Arkansas, he was employed with Bean Lumber Company and Sutton Lumber Company. He is survived by two children, Veronica Kay Garrison of Columbia City, Indiana and Steven L. Teague of Warren, Indiana; five grandchildren, Anna Teague, Spencer Teague, Nicolas Lund and his wife, Angie, Kayla Lund and Jordan Lund; three great-grandchildren; Kaeson, Haylee and Blaine; his brother, Jerry Teague of Amity; three sisters, Claire Griffith of Fort Worth, Texas, Dessie Goodman of Rush, Texas and Nona McNabb of Amity; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 14, 2015, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Keith Howell officiating. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
