Jewell Calvin Hunt age 89 of Bismarck went to be with the Lord, from his home in Bismarck on August 3, 2010. He was born January 18, 1921 in Point Cedar, Arkansas to the late Jube and Grace Campbell Hunt. He was an avid gardener and loved to share what he grew with all of his friends and neighbors. Jewell was retired from the Hot Spring County Road Department and was a U. S. Army World War II veteran of the European Campaign. He received a Purple Heart and five Bronze Stars in service to his country. One brother, Loyd Hunt; four sisters, Novela Hammock, Thelma Allen, Mary Lou Cox and Donna Lee Hunt preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years, Sue Fry Hunt; son, Gary N. Hunt of Bismarck, AR; son and daughter-in-law, Gerald C. and Dana S. Hunt of Hot Springs, AR; one brother, Roy Hunt of Point Cedar, AR; five grandchildren, Spencer and Logan Hunt of Bismarck, AR; Austin, Blaire and Turner Hunt of Hot Springs, AR.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, August 6th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Arkadelphia with Bro. Chris Morrison officiating. Burial with Military honors will be in Philippi Cemetery near Point Cedar, AR. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
