Jewel Marie was born to Walter and Marie McGhehey on May 31, 1930. Jewel was the youngest of six children. She had four sisters, Esther, May, Blanche, and Grace, and two brothers, Phillip and Paul. She loved telling stories about growing up with all of her siblings around her being the baby of the family.
On February 28, 1952, she married Jean A. Lussier and they began their family's life together. Upon retirement from the service, they settled in Glenwood. After 25 years of loving memories, Jean passed away on December 13, 1977.
Jewel's career life was centered around newspapers. For many years she worked as a teletype setter. Upon moving to Glenwood, she gained employment working for the Glenwood Herald. Eventually, she became the advertising manager. Her career spanned 32 years.
Throughout her life, her creativity brought much joy to her ceramics, painting, and knitting, and wherever she lived a beautiful garden area with flowers was left behind.
On July 1, 1982, she married William Bradshaw. Together they started working on genealogy. They traveled all over gathering family information. They created fun, loving memories. On December 28, 2014, Bill passed away.
Jewel continued her life with family, friends, art activities, and most of all her gardening until her work was done on May 22, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; her two brothers; and her two husbands.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Chris and John Crain; her son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Diane Lussier; seven grandchildren, John, Tate, Tim, Brad, Jeffery, Christy, and Joseph; seventeen great-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
