Jessie Jayroe

Jessie Jayroe, 86, of Sherwood passed away Monday, April 7, 2008. She was a member of Sylvan Hills Community Church for 53 years, a member of Arkansas Ceramic Association and Little Rock Ceramic Club. She was past Flotilla Commander for the Coast Guard Auxiliary and a Junior Hostess for the USO during World War II.
She is survived by her daughter, Virginia ?Ginny? Jayroe, of Sherwood; brother, John (Marcella) Allen; nephew, David Allen, all of Little Rock; and her niece, Sandra (Michael) Horton, of Oregon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Jayroe.
The family wishes to express an extra special thanks to Woodland Hills Nursing Center, with an extra special thanks to nurses, Janet Robinson, Minnie Jackson and Director, Koy Butler.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. A family gathering will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
