Jesse Calvin Peeler

Jesse “Jaybird” Peeler of Sherwood, AR, passed away April 1, 2024, after a long battle with dementia.

He was born in Cato, Arkansas, and after graduating from Jacksonville High school, he married the love of his life, Carolyn Peeler.  He retired from the Arkansas National Guard after 42 years of service.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Peeler; two sons, Calvin Lin (Karen) Peeler, Cavin (Lee) Peeler; two granddaughters, MadaLin Peeler, and Savannah Vance (Tommy) and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse F.  Peeler and Gertrude Peeler; sister, Doris Brockington; and his daughter, Dawn LeAnn Peeler.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens.
