Jesse Leopard

Jesse Doyle Leopard departed this earthly dwelling to live with Jesus on June 3, 2021. Jesse was born, the youngest of Julius Jackson Leopard and Lucy Mae Lunsford Leopard, in Rison (Cleveland County), Arkansas on August 24, 1942.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joy; a son, Jess (Ebonie) Leopard of Little Rock; a daughter, Jill (Russ) Johnson of Little Rock; grandchildren, Reece Johnson, Jackson, John, Jacob and JoHannah Leopard; and many adoring nieces and nephews. Jesse held in high esteem the titles of Christian, Husband and Father.

Jesse was blessed to own his steel fabricating business, AR REBAR. Often he felt God’s guidance in his dealings with others.

In his youth, Jesse enjoyed fishing and hunting.  In later years, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, Joy.  They made many road trips, traveling country roads they had never been before.  The labeled themselves as “Going Jesse” and “Joy Rider”; always caring for each other.

Visitation is Tuesday, June 8 from 6-8 p.m. at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. A Celebration of Jesse’s life will be Wednesday, June 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
