Jerry Shue

Dr. Jerry Lester Shue, optometrist, of North Little Rock died March 9, 2016, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Beebe, Arkansas, on September 13, 1943, to Edward Franklin and Nina Lester Shue. Jerry graduated from Beebe High School, Arkansas State University, and the Southern College of Optometry. He practiced in North Little Rock for 40 years.
His parents and brother, James Edward Shue, predeceased him. Survivors include his wife, Valorie Meisch Shue; his son, Jerry (Jay) Lester Shue Jr, and his wife, Amanda Judd Shue; his daughter, Mary Morrison Shue; his grandsons, Michael Todd Brown, Henning Morrison Brown, Jackson (Jack) James Shue, William (Will) Phillip Shue, and Henry Judd Steinfeld; and the mother of his children, Harryette Hodges Shue.
Special thanks to caregiver Jackie Farnam and the Baptist Health Hospice care team of Jenna, Gena, Judy, and Pastor Jim.
Memorials may be made to the Cathedral of St. Andrew, Our House, or the organization of your choice.
A funeral Mass will occur at 10:00 am Saturday, March 12 in the Cathedral of St. Andrew followed by a private burial at the Beebe Cemetery. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
