Jerry Pat Sherman, 78, of North Little Rock passed away March 22, 2015. Jerry Pat was born August 17, 1936 to J.M. and Fannie B. Sherman in Humphrey, Arkansas. He was married to Elizabeth Thomas Sherman for 51 years. Jerry Pat was an owner/operator mechanic and a race car driver known as "RoHo".
Jerry Pat was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Clyde, Ernest, Clarence and Billy Fay; three sisters, Edith, Audrey Johnson and Maxine Lane.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Elizabeth Thomas Sherman; two sons, Jerry L. Sherman and wife, Johnnie Sue, Ronnie Sherman; daughter, Kathy Duncan and husband, Alvin all of Jacksonville; four grandchildren, Robbie Sherman, Clint Sherman, Mandy Sherman and Kyle Duncan; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margarete Lane and Ersel Lane; and a very special great-nephew, Freddie Ibbotson and a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins.
A very special thanks to Hospice Home Care staff for the loving care they provided to Jerry Pat and the family.
Jerry Pat gladly received the Lord into his heart and peacefully lived out his last days with family and a host of friends visiting.
Services will be officiated by Racers for Christ Chaplain, Steve Haynes, at the Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home Wednesday, March 25 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
