Jerry Don Scrimager, 61, of Little Rock, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2007. He was a Marine Corps Combat Veteran of the Vietnam War, a counselor/instructor at the Arkansas School for the Deaf, belonged to the D.A.V. and V.F.W. and was a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.
His survivors include his son, Brian Joseph Scrimager and daughter, Tara Lei Freeman (Corwin Greene), both of Des Moines, Iowa; brothers, Bill Scrimager (Brenda Lynn) of Little Rock and David Collier (Jamie) of Dilly, Texas; three sisters, Ada Lee Dickerson (Charles), Linda Sue Stzaba (Gary) and Kathryn Burnam (Larry) of Pleasanton, Texas; seven grandchildren; and lifetime friend, Donna Scrimager. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Shelby Scrimager; mother, Ruby Lee Reese Collier; and brothers, Burl Dean Scrimager and Michael Scrimager.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 27 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 28 at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Bob Cooper. Burial with full Military Honors will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
