Jerry Scates

Jerry Scates, 53, of Sheridan passed away Friday, July 21, 2006. He was an Automotive Mechanic, President of McElroy?s Hunting Club from 1994 to 2004, a member of Forest Tower Baptist Church and a former member of the Happy Rhythms Gospel singing group. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Wanda Scates, two sons, Petey Scates and John Alan Scates, one daughter, Brittany Scates, mother, Verda McElroy George, one brother, Alan McElroy, two sisters, Audrey Smith and Jackie McGuire all of Sheridan; one half sister, Nancy Corbishley of North Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his father, Pete McElroy and a brother, Johnny Scates.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday at Forest Tower Baptist Church. Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery, Sheridan, Arkansas.
