Jerry Don Maez, born on February 21, 1966, in Albuquerque, NM, entered eternal rest on August 31, 2024. He was a beloved son, brother, and grandfather, and his memory will be cherished deeply by those who knew him.
Jerry dedicated his career to serving as a custodial supervisor, where he demonstrated strong work and commitment to his role. His colleagues knew him as a dependable, hardworking individual who took pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Jerry was a man of diverse interests and passions. A devoted fan of the Razorbacks, he found joy in cheering for his favorite team. He loved cooking out and often delighted in gatherings with family and friends, always ready to call the Hogs.
His pride and joy was his granddaughter, Maddox Ellis. The bond they shared was evident to all who witnessed their interactions.
Jerry leaves behind a loving family that includes his mother, Lovelle Martinez; sisters, Shelly Bastien (Ralph), and Melyssa McBrier (Bobby); brother, David Parker (Jamie); step-sons, Derek, Brent, and Aaron Ellis; and his granddaughter, Maddox. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, including Robby, Christiana, Bradley, Stephanie, Jacob, Neven, Tommy, and Missy, who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and warmth.
He joins in rest his father, Donico Maez; his beloved partner, Nan Ellis; and his nieces, Chasidy Criswell and Miranda Muddiman, who will be welcomed into his embrace in the memories that link them together.
Jerry's spirit, marked by love, dedication, and joy for life, will be missed by all who knew him. His legacy will live on through the hearts he touched and the memories shared, reminding us of the laughter, love, and cherished moments that define a life well-lived.
