Jerry Linda May was born October 21, 1944 in Little Rock to Geraldine Rue Morford May and Sergeant Russell May. After a lengthy illness, Linda went to be with Jesus on January 29, 2013. Linda was 68 years of age when she left her earthly home.
A graduate of Little Rock Central High School, she worked in retail sales in downtown Little Rock all her adult life, including Seymour's Clothing Store and Sterling's Department Store. Linda was employed at Community Bakery at the River Market branch and the Main Street store, often serving customers at the drive-in window. She is survived by a host of friends who will long remember her smile, flashing eyes, red hair and dedicated service.
Linda attended Second Baptist Church (downtown) for many years. She participated in the Prayer Card Ministry and was a member of the Ruth Class. She was well known for her love for animals, particularly cats.
A service for Linda will be held in the Worship Center of Second Baptist Church, 8th and Cumberland Streets, at 12:00 noon, Sunday, February 3. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pulaski County Humane Society or Second Baptist Church.
Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct., (501)224-2200. Linda's online guestbook may be signed at www.littlerockfuneralhome.
