Jerry Lee Ketchum, age 70, of Pearcy, passed away, Saturday, September 26, 2020.
He was born on November 20, 1949, in Hot Springs, the son of Chester Robert Ketchum and Emagean Thomason Ketchum. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Billy Ketchum and David Ketchum; and sister, Debbie Shappy.
Jerry retired from Lake Hamilton school District where he worked for 37 years.
Jerry is survived by his son, Jerry Martin of Bismarck; his daughter, Judy Chaney of Hot Springs; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrell and Charlene Ketchum of Pearcy and Ricky and Gayle Ketchum of Jessieville; one sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and John Edington of Pearcy; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and many wonderful friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 1, 2020, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs, with Bro. George Vincent officiating.
Social distancing directives will be in place with no more than 100 persons at any one time in the funeral home chapel, avoidance of physical contact and all attendees 10 years of age or older must be wearing a face covering at all times when inside the funeral home.
Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday evening.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Ketchum, Tyler Hampton, Jimmy Caldwell, Bo Butterbredt, Dalton Ketchum and Richard Thacker.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Edington, Steven Shappy, Richie Hurst and Lyn Price.
