Jerry Lee Cook

Jerry Lee Cook, 77, of Sherwood, AR, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday January 17, 2023.  

A drop-in gathering for a celebration of his life with be held on Saturday February 4th, from 10am-12pm at Smith Sherwood Funeral Home, 7700 Hwy 107, Sherwood AR 72120.

Jerry was born in Sweden, MO on October 30, 1945. He was a proud Veteran, having served his country in the United States Army during the pre-Vietnam War era. He lived in Moline, IL, before moving to Arkansas and marrying Marcia in 1995. Jerry and Marcia were happily married for 27 years. Jerry worked as a sales representative for Arrow-Magnolia, Intl. for over 26 years. He enjoyed boating and spending time on the lake with Marcia and being a handyman. He was generous with his time and was always willing to lend a hand to help friends, neighbors, and family.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife Marcia Cook, of Sherwood, and by his 3 sisters Glenda Cunningham, of Lebanon, MO; Mary Ziegler, of East Moline, IL; and Marilyn Quick, of West Plains, MO. He is also survived by his children, Tara Herring (David) of San Marcos, TX; Jennifer Cook-DeRosa (Tom) of Mint Hill, NC; Jerrod Cook, (Kacey) of Joliet, IL; Michael Cook (Katrina de Koning) of Payton, CO; Jackson Rogers (Robin) of Little Rock, AR; and Wendy Rogers Rasch, of Little Rock, AR. He is also blessed to be survived by 15 grandchildren.  Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Loren Cook and Geneva Stevenson, and brother, Ralph Dobbins.
