Jerry D. Blevins Sr., age 88 of North Little Rock, Arkansas went to be with our Lord, at his home on March 6, 2024. He was born to L.R. and Carrie Blevins in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on June 12, 1935. Jerry was a 1953 graduate of Muskogee Central High and a 1958 graduate of Northeastern Oklahoma College. He was a devout member of the Church of Christ and at one time served as a deacon. He was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He had many accomplishments during his life. He became a Christian at the age of 12. Played one year of semi-pro baseball in Missouri. Played one year of college basketball. Served two years in U.S. Army artillery unit. Coached baseball, Pres. of Pony League, Chief Indian Guide, worked with Jr Achievement along with playing softball later in life. During his career he had many achievements, while working in the Oil/Gas Industries he was part of a team that was involved with the Alaska pipeline development in the 60’s. Jerry worked for Levi Strauss, owned his own restaurant, The Village Pantry, moving and storage business, owned his own maintenance and sales computer business, along with other entrepreneur endeavors. As he used to say, “Jack of all trades.” He was never afraid of hard work. Jerry is survived by four children, Doug (Donata) Blevins, Deresa (Mark) Jackson, David Blevins, and Deann (Mike) Glaze; seven grandchildren, Chris Mason, Amber Sherrill-Roberts, Jeremy Blevins, Jennifer Sherrill-Smith, Lindsey Monroe, Chris McGowan, and Nick McGowan; and seven great-grandchildren. Sloan, Scarlett, and Sutton Smith were the absolute joy of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Marlene Blevins.
