Jerry Jefferson Adcock, 85, of Alexander, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021. Born June 14,1936 in Ozark, Arkansas to Wilburn and Lois Adcock, he married the love of his life, Ellen Ferguson, on April 20, 1957. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He opened his own upholstery business in Benton in 1959. He never actually retired as he still did numerous jobs for family and friends. He was also a faithful member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. His number one passion was restoring his 1956 Austin Healey which won numerous car shows.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Wanda Green, and brother, Jack Adcock. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ellen Adcock; son, Tony Adcock (Karen) of Benton; daughter, Shauri Johnson (Calvin) of Alexander; sister, Janice Russell of Pine Bluff; grandsons, Jerry Adcock, Jr. (Andrea) of Benton, Cory Adcock (Cally) of Cave Springs and Clayton Johnson of Alexander; and great-grands, Addison Adcock and Emmaline Adcock of Benton, Ferguson Adcock and Fitz Adcock of Cave Springs.
Jerry was full of humor and had a great love for God. He cherished his family with his whole heart. Special thanks to CARTI Cancer Institute and Arkansas Hospice for all their love and support.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, December 28 at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 1:00. Online guestbook: www.smithfamilycares.com.
