Jerri Lois Bradford, age 60 of McRae went to be with the Lord February 6, 2024. Jerri was born on October 5, 1963, in Searcy, Arkansas to Emmett and Betty Sue Bradford.
Jerri was a member of the Lebanon Cemetery Committee of McRae, and a member of the McRae Veteran’s Memorial Committee. She was the very first woman volunteer firefighter for McRae. Jerri was a member of the First Baptist Church of McRae. She always loved doing the city’s Christmas lights. One thing Jerri really loved was her three dogs and the Lord. When she was young, she played softball, basketball, and volleyball. Jerri loved decorating and entering floats in the city’s parades. She loved the bank’s dog, Sadie; they were the best of friends. Jerri was an auctioneer and liked going to auctions and setting up at the Sale Barn in Beebe.
Her greatest joy was working for God with the kids at McRae First Baptist Church and serving God. Jerri enjoyed her time with family. Her beach trip to the ocean with Selynna, Shirley, Garret, and Remedy; she talked about this all the time. Going to her brother Earl’s house and just spending the day and working with him. Her trip to Branson with Tabby, Kevin and family, she said, was beautiful. Jerri loved and cared for Ian Marsh who was like a son to her. He always made her laugh.
The most beautiful time in her life was when April, her godchild, fell into her hands. She knew then what a new little life felt and looked like.
Jerri was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Betty Sue Bradford, sisters, Wanda Castera, Molly May Bradford and brother, Dub Bradford.
She is survived by sister, Shirley Osborn of McRae; brothers, Elvin (Judy) Bradford, Harold (Freda) Bradford and Earl (Naomi) Bradford all of McRae; her special friend Eddie Pipkin of El Paso; her goddaughter, April Moninger of Rockport, Indiana, as well as many nieces, nephews, and her kids at church.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 10th from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at Smith Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel, 404 W Dewitt Henry Dr., Beebe. Her ashes will be buried at Lebanon Cemetery, McRae, Arkansas.
Memorials may be given to Paws In Haven, P.O. Box 501, Searcy, AR 72145.
