Jereldine “Jerri” Dedrick, of Conway, died at North Metro Medical Center Sunday, January 11th at the age of 61. Jerri is survived by her father, Jeremiah Haynes (Dumas, AR); her two sons, Charles Wayne Dedrick Jr. (Vernita) and Christopher Michael Dedrick; her 10 siblings, Frances Hill (John), Brownsburg, IN; James Haynes (Violet), Detroit MI; Dorothy Davis (Lamars), Dumas, AR; Roy Haynes (Rose) Winchester, AR; Carlton Haynes, Detroit, MI; Barbara George (Richard) Dumas, AR; Jeremiah Haynes, Jr. (Darolyn) Richmond, VA; Melvin Haynes, Dumas, AR; Jonathan Haynes, Sr. (Gail) Dumas, Ar; and Patricia Bradford (Alonzo) Dumas, Ar. She is preceded in death by her mother Charlie Lee Haynes and her husband, Charles Wayne Dedrick, Sr. Jerri was born on March 19th, 1953 in Detroit, MI to Jeremiah Haynes Sr. and Charlie Lee Haynes. She graduated from Milford High School in Detroit in 1971. After moving to California, she began working for the State government Legal Aid Department. In 1980, she married Charles Wayne Dedrick Sr, Engineman for the US Navy. After moving back to Dumas, Arkansas, Jerri worked for the school district for 24 years in a number of capacities, most notably as a home preschool instructor for the Dumas School District’s HIPPY program. They welcomed 2 children, Charles Wayne Dedrick Jr, 29, and Christopher Michael Dedrick, 21. She also leaves behind one grandchild, Ayanna Janelle Dedrick, age 7. A memorial service has been scheduled for Jerri at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses , 1622 Harrison Street, Conway, AR 72034, Saturday, January 17th at 12:00 pm.
