Our sweet daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend, Jennifer Barnett, passed away on November 23, 2021 surrounded by her family and friends. Her dog Coco and Boudreaux the Cat (her constant companion who misses her terribly) were also in attendance at her passing.
Jennifer was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on February 7, 1972 and is survived by her parents, Mike Lyle (Barbara) and Patricia Hilton. She is also survived by the love of her life, husband of eighteen years, John Barnett; daughters, Kelsey and Sydney; son, Silas; sisters, Shannon Simpson (William), Meagan Harris (Hollis), and Krystal Harris Saul; brother, Justin Lyle (Loren); father-in-law, Ron Barnett; brother-in-law, Dr. Ronnie Barnett (Daniel); sister-in-law, Julie Zellers (Joey); and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; her sister, Carrie Ann; and the best mother-in-law in the world, Fran Barnett.
Jennifer was beautiful with her naturally curly blonde hair, blue eyes, and long eyelashes. In her younger days, she never missed a pep rally, ballgame, homecoming dance, prom, or any opportunity to get dressed up and have a good time.
She loved her family, pets, motorcycle rides to Hot Springs with her husband, Sunday suppers with family, and watching her sons’ football games. Jennifer enjoyed making homemade jellies and jams, Starbucks caramel macchiato, and any car that had a V-8.
Jennifer was employed at Annette’s Nursing Service for the last twelve years where she made many friends and loved her job and everyone she got to know.
Jennifer was a faithful daughter, sister, wife, mom and friend. She was loyal, caring, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her favorite saying was “you got this”, and we know she is in good company and has “got this” until we see her again.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM, Thursday, December 2, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton Arkansas.
